CEAT INDIA ROAD TRANSPORTATION AWARDS 2010 PDF Print E-mail
Mr. Mukesh Haritash, Joint Managing Director, Chetak logistics ltd. has been awarded "Youth Entrepreneur of the Year" Category for CEAT INDIA ROAD TRANSPORTATION AWARDS 2010.
Ernst & Young Private Limited (EY), the leading global professional services firm, acted as Process Advisors and Official Tabulators to the India Road Transportation Awards, 2010 (IRTA). They advised IRTA on the overall Awards concept, and assisted in defining the process of winner determination. The event was aimed at providing encouragement and recognition to transporter and transport companies to perform better and achieve excellence within the industry. The Awards process commenced with a call for entries. Fleet owners with a minimum of 50 trucks were eligible to participate. Each entry received was in the form of a case study which provided details of the participating fleet owner, the problems they were facing, and the initiatives that had taken to address the problems. Over 600 entries were received from across India. This makes the Award the one of the largest of its kind in India. The entries received were first evaluated by a screening jury, which shortlisted the top few nominees in each award category in each of 4 regions (North, South, East, and West). The shortlisted nominees were then required to make a presentation of their innovations and initiatives, to an independent regional jury, which evaluated them on parameters like innovativeness of concept, impact of the initiative, sustainability and replicability of the initiative. The presentation was followed by a one-on-one question answer session with the jury. The scores of all the regional jury sessions were then moderated once again by a final national level jury, to arrive at regional and national winners. All the jury sessions were moderated, and jury scores tabulated, by EY.NATIONAL WINNER FOR PERSONNEL
